The World's 1st duo pageant vloggers and India's prominent pageant vloggers, have passionately covered national and international pageants, providing in-depth analysis and engaging content that educates and entertains audiences worldwide about the beauty and significance of pageantry.
Guru has been a Pageant historian ever since he saw Miss World 1992, his first pageant. This intrigue turned into interest in a few years when India won both the Miss Universe and Miss World titles in 1994. By the year 2000, this turned to passion with the historic hat trick win for India as Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra & Dia Mirza bagged their international crowns.
Guru is obsessed about pageants. He lives, eats, drinks pageants daily. In 2011, he went to Sao Paulo Brazil to witness his first in person Miss Universe Contest, followed by 2013 in Moscow, Russia and more recently 2022 for Miss Grand International in Jakarta Indonesia.
In 2023 he committed to take this passion to a new level by etching the tattoo - defining his purpose.
Emma met Guru through a common friend in 2006. Little did she know that after 15 years she will be joining forces to start The Pageant Gurus, to speak up against the bullying Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu faced during her reign as Miss Universe 2021!
Their mission goes beyond mere commentary; they aim to highlight the profound impact that pageantry can have on individuals and communities alike. In their discussions, Guru & Emma explore a wide array of topics related to pageantry, from the intricate preparation involved in competing to the broader cultural implications of beauty standards. Guru, born and raised in New Delhi, India, is a Post graduate in Economics from DSE. He is a seasoned banking and marketing professional with over two decades of experience with leading organizations. He is also a self-taught artist and has showcased his paintings in numerous exhibitions. A passionate traveler, he has visited over 30 countries. He enjoys astrology, tarot card reading, loves food, whistling, watching horror movies, and adores his furry friend Teddy. He is currently based out of the UAE.
Emma is a former Business Development & Branding professional and a Student of Egyptology from Harvard University. After quitting the corporate world decades ago, she works as a Freelance research writer and a Spiritual healer. Emma is a die hard football fan, lover of Poetry from the Elizabethan era, was a trained opera singer and loves to spend her spare time baking, painting and playing guitar. She currently resides in New Delhi, with her Sheepdog (Daughter), Bubbles.
